Yoga Teacher Tips: Overcoming Imposter Syndrome

Imposter syndrome is absolutely REAL! This experience can be particularly intense for a new yoga teacher or anyone embarking on a new journey. It is essential to understand that this feeling is more common than you might think; in fact, many people share these sentiments. Remember, you are not alone in grappling with these emotions. Acknowledge that experiencing imposter syndrome is actually a positive sign, as it indicates that you are evolving and growing beyond your current level of experience. Be gentle and compassionate with yourself during this time, and trust that you possess all of the inner wisdom and keys within you to move forward confidently.

Know that you can use this with anthing new that you are learning whether it be personal or professional. Doing the thing is key to building confidence. Know that you are capable of change and growth!

Here are 3 useful tips in overcoming imposter syndrome.

Yogi Institute is a Yoga Alliance certified RYS200, RYS300 and YACEP. Certifications are available online where you work at your own pace from your own space. Training programs are customizable for you and offer 3 different levels of support. Yogi Institute training programs teach the fundamentals of cueing and guiding the body confidently and safely in varying yoga practices.

RYS 200- Option to choose to focus on vinyasa, yin & restorative, strength/sculpt or kundalini yoga for your 200-hour certificate. Choose the type of yoga you are most passionate about.

RYS 300- Customize the 12-month schedule to match your schedule. There is 1 module released per month and you decide what you want to learn when.

Continued Ed- There are smaller trainings available as continued education and certifications. These trainings range from 10-75 hours.
