FAQs

How Classes Work:

Each month new classes are launched with a common intention.  Intention can be body part focused, feeling, theme or skill. For example, previously the focus has been on meditation, breath practices, and core strength. If there are classes that you really enjoy you can create a favourites list in the On-Demand library and come back to the classes whenever you like.

You can take classes live on Zoom OR do recordings in your own time.

The On-Demand library has 30 and 55-minute classes in it. There are even some 90-minute classes.

How to Join Class Live On Zoom:

All classes can be attended live on Zoom through the Yogi Institute Online Yoga Studio Link. You are welcome to join ANY and AS MANY classes as you’d like when you pay for the UNLIMITED MONTHLY OR YEARLY MEMBERSHIP

Most students use the On-Demand library and fit it into their schedule when they can but I love to start my day with yoga first thing. I believe that even just 30 minutes of mindful movement can really change the projection of the whole day!

How You Can Pay For Class:

Yogi Institute wants to keep things as simple as possible. There are only 2 memberships.

  1. Monthly Unlimited Automatic Withdraw $29/Month

  2. Yearly Unlimited Automatic Withdraw $290/Year

No commitments. Cancel anytime.

You can also take a class and if you enjoyed class leave a tip through Venmo or PayPal.

What You Might Need For Class:

Every student has their favorite props for classes. This is what you MAY want to use for each class. One thing I love about yoga is that you don’t need much to do it, no fancy shoes, or equipment. Just yourself. But here are some additional options for each class on the schedule.

  • Monday Vinyasa Class: Yoga mat, blocks & blanket

  • Tuesday Kundalini Class: Yoga mat & blanket

  • Wednesday Strength Class: Yoga mat & hand weights

  • Thursday Restorative Class: Yoga mat, yoga blocks, long firm pillow (bolster) & blanket

  • Friday Yin Class: Yoga mat, blocks & blanket

  • Saturday Fusion Class: Yoga mat

How Do I Know If This Is “Working”

Progress in Yoga can be subtle, awareness is key to seeing and experiencing the shifts. It can manifest gently in our emotions as more patience or perseverance or overall contentment. It can manifest physically as more mobility, flexibility or strength but is more likely as ease in everyday movement. It can manifest as healthy digestion, better quality sleep or more open communication. It’s not like weight lifting or basketball where you can measure how much you lift or how many baskets you make. Progression is more subtle and can take more awareness. If you are open to seeing the shifts, they will reveal themselves.

Yogi Institute Philosophy

The Yogi Institute philosophy is that some form of yoga not only CAN be practiced daily but should be practiced daily to live a healthy, fulfilled and joyful life. This is why the weekly schedule is the way it is, there are physically challenging practices, mentally challenging practices and relaxing practices that soothe your nervous system and help you to connect more deeply to your heart and higher self. This is more of a wellness system than anything. As your commitment to your daily practice deepens and yoga becomes a part of who you are, transformation occurs in your life.
