When I first signed up for the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, I didn't know what to expect. I moved from Dallas to Granbury at the end of September 2021, and a goal I had set for myself was to take a YTT. It happened much fast than I expected, but I am so glad that it did! Starting the 10-week program on January 2, 2022, was exciting, but also a little scary to take the plunge. I like that the Yogi Institute program was for 10 weeks. I think the training allowed me to absorb the information and philosophies, so I would be able to offer even more services and depth to my future yoga students. It did take dedication of time and financial investment, but even after the first day, I knew that I made the right decision. This program was organized in a way to make the experience of learning fun, exciting and easy to retain. Having such a wonderful group of girls to share this experience, played a huge role in my success - starting with the Lead Trainer Jill, and my classmates Paula and Tanya. I always had their support and encouragement, and that truly helped with my confidence. It's been 7 months now since I received my certification. I love every class that I teach, having the opportunity to meet new students and also learn from them. I can feel my confidence in my abilities as a yoga instructor growing each and every day. I graduated from Yogi Institute in June 2022. My instructor was Jill Enticknap. I cannot say enough good things about Jill. OF course, as with any other yoga teacher training, I learned how to teach yoga. I have to say, I got so much more out of this training than that though. Jill forced me to understand that I am whole, exactly as I am right now. Jill listened to me in a way that most people do not even listen to a close friend. Prior to going thru the training, I had gone to Jill's hot yoga classes for years and I always noticed a light in her that was different than anyone I had ever met. I love yoga. I completed my 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Jill through Yogi Institute in the Summer of 2022. It was something I had wanted to do for a long time, but my budget or schedule never allowed me to. The hybrid online/in-person schedule was perfect for me to plan around my work and personal life and it felt like the stars were aligning, so I went for it! It was the best decision because there were only a couple of us in the training for 10 weeks, so it was personal and not overwhelming.
